Virginia Late Federal Mahogany China Press
attributed to Norfolk, circa 1820-40, mahogany veneer, yellow pine and poplar secondary, removable wave-like cornice with central tombstone above a vertically veneered, upper cabinet with two hinged molded mullion glass hinged doors, interior with two fixed shelves, flanked by two fully turned columns at the stile, the base featuring two upper side-by-side convex drawers, above two hinged panel doors, interior with single shelf, flanked by two bold fully turned columns at each stile, paneled sides, tall turned ball feet, rear straight feet from the solid.
99 x 48 x 22 in.

Appears to be white chalk inscription or monogram to underside of top board of base cabinet.

Condition
Reglazing to mullions, but glass appears to be old; some marring to top surface; some veneer chips and patches to drawer fronts; later hinges; cut and patch to right rear leg facing; cut and patch to molding at base of upper cabinet; other light warping and small expected imperfections; good estate condition.
