Eastern North Carolina Hepplewhite One Drawer Work Table
attributed to Perquimans County, circa 1800, yellow pine, remnants of an old original paint, two board top, single drawer with old possibly original pull, drawer and side rails with beaded edge, raised on tall square tapered legs.
29.5 x 36.5 x 28.5 in.
Owned by baseball great Jim "Catfish" Hunter, New York Yankees pitcher. This table descended in the family of Catfish Hunter and was purchased from the Perquimans County, NC family home.
