(Philadelphia: Middle Earth Books, 1972). First and limited edition, #94/100 copies signed and numbered by Smith. 8vo. Unpaginated. No. 3 in Series 1 of the Middle Earth Pamphlet series. Original stiff printed wrappers, front cover with white silhouette of Smith based on the photograph of her by her close friend, Robert Mapplethorpe; contemporary Middle Earth bookmark laid in.

A spectacularly well preserved copy of Smith's third book, the rarest of her works. Comprising nine poems, including the early poetic version of Radondo Beach that would feature on her 1975 debut studio album Horses.

Together with:

A Usless Death
(New York: Gotham Book Mart & Gallery, Inc., 1972). First and limited edition, #121/300 copies signed and numbered by Smith. Original limp illustrated paper wrappers; small stain top left edge of front wrapper.

Smith's second book, containing the long single poem A Useless Death, and illustrated with a drawing by her on the front wrapper.
