Ernest G. Marche was born in France in 1864. Marche studied with Jules Lefebvre & Tony Robert Fleury. His works appeared in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Francais (he became a member in 1891) where he gained mention in 1895, a medal in 1896, the Raignecourt Gruyon prize in 1898, a medal in 1899 and a bronze medal at the Universal Expostion in Paris in 1900.
Provenance: The Estate of Mrs.Burton Grossman (San Antonio, Texas)
