Description: Impressionist oil painting on panel. Appears to be on canvas, on a mahogany panel. Attributed to Paul Cezanne or the School of Paul Cezanne. Signed lower right, appears to say "PC" The painting here appears to be a village, a subject matter that Cezanne painted frequently. Similar to the village scene painting that was attributed to Cezanne and sold on Live Auctioneers With a Museum Sticker on its reverse, "Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, temporary loan". This scene is attributed to being Montgeroult, France. This is where Cezanne painted many of his famous works including, "Houses Along a Road", but could also be a scene from his hometown, Aix en Provence, France. Many other artists were in his circle including Camille Pissarro, and others. Provenance: Cosigned Privately From A Local Estate. Consignor States It Was Part Of A Large Collection Belonging To His Mother. Mother States It Was A Gift From Charles Dent, who is the uncle of Senator Dent Of Pennsylvania. Mother States Senator Dent Purchased From A Gallery In France In 1992.Measures Approximately: 12.75" X 10"
