Description

A 2" diameter three-chime brass whistle, made by the Crosby Steam Gauge & Valve Co., Boston. This rare, vintage, antique three-chime whistle is complete with built in integral valve and operational control lever. Plumbing diameter is 11/16". Included is a pine mounting base, inscribed on the base, "From New York City Independent Subway Car Type R-1/A", but the plumbing nipple has been broken off of the mounting foot. Overall height is 10 - 1/2". This is a nice vintage three-chime whistle. Condition: (Very Good). Dimensions: Largest: 10 - 5/8" x 3 - 3/4" x 2".
