Description

A tremendous devil face folk pot by potter Steve Abee of Lenoir, NC (likely no later than latter 90s). Wonderful example of wood-fired from fairly early in his career. Beautiful facial features with simply the clay-formed teeth being the only contrasting color from the lighter alkaline finish. Wonderful open mouth! Stamped SEA on shoulder and signed on base. 10"H x 8"D.

ALL POTTERY IS IN EXCELLENT AS FIRED CONDITION UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION.
