Schwarzes Maroquin mit blindgepr. Ornamentik und silbergepr. DTitel und RTitel, Wildleder-Doublure, Vorsätze aus handgefertigtem Marmorpapier, in marmoriertem Schuber (Rücken und VDeckel minimal beschabt, Schuber berieben und angeplatzt).
With 40 illustrations after lithographs by Redon, 28 of them full page, and a suite on Japan. Folio. Black morocco with blind-tooled ornamentation and silver-stamped cover and spine title, suede doublure, endpapers of handmade marbled paper, in marbled slipcase (spine and front cover minimally scuffed, slipcase rubbed and chipped). - One of 110 (total ed. 130) numbered copies on Maillol paper, with a suite on Japan. Signed in the printer's note by Ari Redon, the artist's son. In signed hand binding by Bernardin. - The 40 lithographs designed by Redon to accompany Flaubert's work were produced in three series in 1888, 1889 and 1896. The present work unites them with the text for the first time. - One plate with a small missing part in the motif. Very good copy, strong and contrasty impressions.

Im signierten Handeinband von Bernardin. - Die 40 von Redon zu Flauberts Werk entworfenen Lithographien entstanden in drei Serien in den Jahren 1888, 1889 und 1896. Das vorliegende Werk vereint sie erstmals mit dem Text. - Eine Tafel mit kl. Fehlstelle im Motiv. Sehr gutes Exemplar, kräftige und kontrastreiche Abzüge.
