Robert Frost (1874-1963) Poet. Frost was one of America’s leading 20th-century poets and a four-time winner of the Pulitzer Prize. An essentially pastoral poet often associated with rural New England, Frost wrote poems whose philosophical dimensions transcend any region. His book of poems, A Witness Tree, Henry Holt and Company, 1942, inscribed and signed on the first blank page, “To George McDonough for showing me his poems Robert Frost.” There is another inscription, in another hand, dated May 1944, under Frost’s signature. The dust jacket has moderate wear, price clipped, and is protected.
