Henry W. Longfellow Signed Card & Dale Carnegie Signed Bookplate

A signed card and bookplate by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Dale Carnegie respectively. The signed card, measuring 4.25" x 2.5", is signed and inscribed "Yours truly Henry W. Longfellow. 1873." The bookplate is signed "Dale Carnegie", advertising the Dale Carnegie Institute of Effective Speaking and Human Relations. Both have faint edge toning and bold signatures.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) was an American poet, most famously known for his work entitled "Paul Revere's Ride" and "Evangeline". He taught at both Bowdoin College and Harvard College before retiring from teaching in 1854. He then set about focusing on his writing and moved to live out the rest of his life at George Washington's Revolutionary War Headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Dale Carnegie [spelled Carnagey until c. 1922] (1888-1955) was an American writer and lecturer. He is best known for developing several courses on self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking, and interpersonal skills, and authored "How to Win Friends and Influence People" in 1936.
