ELF ENGINE CO. MODEL 40 "GOOSE-EGG" FOUR-CYLINDER MODEL AIRPLANE ENGINE, (updated 9/14/2022), embossed with maker's mark to crankshaft case fin, remaining end with impressed SN "933", external intake pipes running to underside of engine to tank, timer arm with textured handle and a large phenolic disc-form distributor, each cylinder fitted with a Champion spark plug, fitted on a metal stand painted olive green, colorless celluloid egg-form fuel tank probably together by association. Crankshaft turns freely and is untested for functionality. Mid 20th century. Engine 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" overall.
