A CHINESE NEOLITHIC PAINTED POTTERY JAR, MACHANG PHASE. Geometric patterns in black pigment over a reddish-brown wash. Mid Machang phase (c. 2300 - 2000 BC). 30cm tall x approx. 30cm wide at handles. Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
