Latin America, Mexico, ca. 1952. A vibrant poster advertising the 1952 American Western "High Noon" - or "A La Hora Senalada" in Spanish - starring Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly, Lloyd Bridges, Thomas Mitchell, Katy Jurado, and Lon Chaney. This poster was created for the Spanish-speaking audience. It includes renderings of three Oscars accompanied by a statement which translates, "The film awarded with 3 Oscars by the Hollywood Academy!" as well as imagery of a dramatic duel between cowboys accompanied by the phrase, "The most spectacular duel ever filmed at noon was a date with death…" and a photo of Gary Cooper looking toward a gorgeous, oversized rendering of the starlet Grace Kelly, above a still from the film. Finally, Peliculas Agrasanchez, S.A. Tabasco 218, Mexico D.F. is credited at the lower right." Condition
Mounted in a matte - hinged at the upper edge and can probably be removed. Some stains, crease marks, and pin holes to poster. Stains and wear to matte as shown. Otherwise a nice example.
