A Gorham 'Medallion' Coin Silver Pitcher
circa 1869, model number 640, with spherical body and tall neck, the body engraved with foliate and floral design surrounding an applied oval medallion with portrait of a young woman in relief, the lower belly with period monogram "CAM" above the date 1869, engraved "Adella" to neck below spout, raised on a conforming foot, portrait medallions applied to each side of shaped spout, the handle with applied palmette thumb guard.

A near identical pitcher is in the collection of the RISD Museum, Providence, Rhode Island, and was included in the 2019 traveling exhibition Gorham SIlver: Designing Brilliance 1850-1970.
