Likely Swiss, 18th/19th Century
of circular form, the lid decorated with an enamel plaque showing allegorical characters, having a gold coin-meander border, the side with foliate banding, the underside with polychrome paillon decoration and a similar coin meander on base.
marked with a sun and two other indistinct marks on interior flange and side of body

Condition
In overall good, stable, attractive condition. The interior of lid with some heavier surface scratches likely from assay test. The paillon decoration on underside with a few very small areas of loss to foil decoration. Examination under UV light does not show evidence of restoration to enamel. No other significant condition issues noted. Additional images available upon request.
