Description
This flower and bamboo painting is attributed to Hsu Tzu Yun (old Wade Giles spelling, transcribed to Pinyin is Xu Ziyun?) and as having been painted circa 1693-1723, which would place it as having been created during the Kangxi period of the early Qing dynasty. The flowers appear to be peonies, a special flower to gardeners, not only in China, but around the world. According to the receipt, this artist is listed in some reference book, but we do not know in which book the reference is.
