Three 19th Century English Transferware Platters. Blue on white transferware; comprising Clews Staffordshire platter trinted in "Mosaic Tracery" pattern with floral basket motif on repeating hexagon grid ground, platter printed in Ralph Stevenson & Williams "Beehive and Vases" pattern, floral and foliate motifs centering a beehive, and a John and William Ridgway platter printed in "Roses and Herb Robert" pattern, with strawberry blossom and fruit motif rim centering a floral still-life. Floral basket platter with 'MOSAIC TRACERY' to underside, impressed with STAFFORDSHIRE CLEWS WARRANTED;beehive platter impressed with '18' to the underside. {Approximate dimensions: Clews platter 17 1/4 wide x 13 inches deep, beehive platter 19 wide x 14 3/8 inches deep, floral still-life platter 20 1/2 wide x 15 1/8 inches deep.}. Parallels: All three patterns are identified in the Transferware Collectors' Club Database, with related citations, #4667 is the Mosaic Tracery citation number, #3529, is the Beehive and Vases citation number and the Ridgway pattern is #5484. Condition: Light crazing and surface scratches throughout. Wear to undersides includes some staining.
