The present lot is from The Nelson Rockefeller Collection, a line of reproduced art and design objects created from original works in the former vice president's personal collection of fine art, furniture and decorative objects. Although Rockefeller intended to release 100 new reproductions annually, only one line was produced in 1978 prior to his death the following year. The reproduction collection was published in a catalog that featured in situ photographs from Rockefeller's residences and was sold at Neiman Marcus.
