Benjamin Harrison NM-MT 8 Signed Check as Senator of Indiana
Signed check, measuring 2.75" x 7.25", dated May 24, 1887, Indianapolis, IN. Check made for the amount of thirty one dollars and twenty five cents, signed "Benj Harrison" in bottom right corner. Bank cancellation mark slightly overlapping the "so" in Harrison, with light paper toning and ink smudging in places. Overall, a clean example. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA to the overall size of 4.5" x 9.5" and graded NM-MT 8.
Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) served as the 23rd president of the United States between 1889 to 1893 and was the grandson of 9th United States president William Henry Harrison. Prior to his presidency, he also served as Senator of Indiana between 1881 to 1887.
