Description
Shooner Pottery, Oregonia, Ohio. Three redware slip decorated plates. Each stamped along the underside. The two chargers with an incised signature by Greg Shooner (American, 20th c.), dated 1999, with impressed marks reading "Shooner American Redware Oregonia, OH," and "Mary Spellmire-Shooner." One charger titled "Warren County Ohio." The small rectangular charger titled "Who Knows? And Why?" and dated 9/9/96.

Condition
The plates are in generally good condition. All pieces have wear throughout. All of them have multiple chips and losses along their rim, which are discolored dark. Dust collected to their surface. None of them show a sign of restoration under UV inspection. The small plate has 2 major chips, each sizing 3/4 inch; there is a network of white accretion to the underside. The big plate with 3 stripe lines has three major losses to the center, which are discolored dark; there is a 1 inch chip to the underside near the rim.
