Third Intermediate Period, 1069-702 B.C. A carved stone torso of Taweret standing with hands resting on the abdomen, pendulous breasts, tripartite wig to the upper chest, strongly ribbed panel of hair to the back developing to a crocodile's tail with chevron detailing; mounted on a custom-made display stand. Cf. Andrews, C., Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, pl.39(e), for type. 120 grams total, 79 mm high including stand (3 1/8 in.). English collection formed in the 1990s. UK art market.
