Each Panel Is Cast In High Relief And Signed By Nino D'Antonio Germano. Olympic Champion Hercules Is Depicted Slaying The Nemean Lion, Capturing The Cretan Bull, And Defeating Diomedes With A Club. This Piece Is 7 1/4 Long, Weighs 119 Grams, And Is Likely An Original Or Early Cast, Not To Be Confused For Heavier, Later Casts. The Lost Wax Casting Process Used To Create Each Piece Resulted In Very Few Pieces. This Bracelet Is Completely Handmade; Note The Square Rings And Rectangular Holes Connecting Each Panel And Crisp Castings. Italian Born Germano Was Of The Artistic Alfonsi Family Of Jewelers, And Was Regarded For Producing Works Of Extraordinary And Fine Detail. He Is Considered To Have Been One Of The Finest Artist Jewelers. Germano Focused On Classical Themes As His Inspiration, With Particular Sculptural Interest In The Movement Of Human Bodies.
