BENNETT DON: (1910-1986) Australian aviation pioneer and bomber pilot who rose to be the youngest Air Vice Marshal in the Royal Air Force and led the 'Pathfinder Force' from 1942-45 during World War II. Signed postcard photograph of Bennett in a head and shoulders pose wearing his uniform. Signed in blue ink with his name alone to a clear area of the image. Together with a further six printed images, each neatly removed from books or magazines, of varying sizes, each signed by Bennett and depicting him in various uniform poses, alongside Lord Trenchard, chairing a meeting in the Operations Room of the Pathfinder Force etc. One of the images is colour and all are signed by Bennett with his name alone in blue ink.
