Photograph of a young man in his 20s, thought to be Thompson Bird Lamar, brother of eventual US Supreme Court Justice Lucius Quintus Cincinnatus Lamar II. Thompson Lamar died in 1864 during the Civil War in which he fought for the confederacy. Photograph is housed in later brass and leather casing. Purchased about 20 years ago for a nominal sum from an Antebellum estate near Athens, Ga along with Lot 104A. Very good overall
