Description
STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SUGAR BOWL, footed ovoid form with molded mask handles, featuring Eagle on Urn pattern, depicting multiple urns having the Great Seal of the United States eagle and shield motif and bold floral designs. Printed "5" to underside, otherwise unmarked. Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, England. 1814-1834. 6 7/8" HOA.

Condition
Bowl having a few minute flakes to rim, scattered flakes to interior gallery, a chip to foot underside edge, and some light discoloration, cover with chip and flakes to underside. Manufacturing flaws including firing separations to foot, as made.
