Description
WEST VIRGINIA STENCILED STONEWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising an approximately half-gallon canner, cylindrical form with slight shoulder, grooved wax-seal rim, Albany-slip glazed interior, and an approximately one-gallon wide-mouth crock, ovoid form with flat-top rounded rim. Each having stenciled cobalt "J.M. HARDEN / Palatine, W. Va." Circa 1875. 8 1/4" H, 4 5/8" D rim and 7 1/2" H, 7" D rim.
