WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA STENCILED STONEWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising an approximately one-gallon ovoid-form jug with strap handle, and an approximately half-gallon capacity cylindrical-form jar with beaded neck ring. Stenciled cobalt decorations include jar with "From / James Hamilton & Co. / Greensboro. Pa." and jug having "JAS. HAMILTON & / CO. / GREENSBORO / PA.", additional foliate decorative ornaments. 1860-1880. 10 3/4" HOA.
