Description
WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA STENCILED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, semi-ovoid body with heavy neck bead, delicate rim, and strap handle, Albany-slip glazed interior. Stenciled cobalt "WILLIAMS & REPPERT" arched above two cornucopia and "GREENSBORO, PA.", three brushed cobalt stripes and dashes flanking and across spout, additional cobalt at upper handle terminal. William Williams and Thomas Reppert, Greensboro, PA. Circa 1885. 10 3/4" H, 5 1/4" D rim.
