Description
An Antique replica of Leonard Morel-Ladeuil's design for the Paris Exhibition of 1867. The shield depicts scenes from "Paradise Lost", including the fall of Adam & Eve as the central image. The peripheral scenes include angels battling demons, as well as symbols from the Zodiac. The Shield measures 33" x 25 1/2". The thick wood frame has carved Leaves and Acorns (some acorns are missing). The Frame measures 39 1/2" x 32" x 1". The Item appears to be in overall Good cosmetic condition.
