Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. A beautiful and wearable bracelet comprised of 5 Roman glass fragments set inside form-fitting sterling silver bezels. The glass fragments exhibit deep teal and seafoam hues that are accentuated by layers of rainbow iridescence that have formed across their surfaces. Each sterling silver bezel is connected to its neighbor via integral loops and free-standing loops, and the accessory can be worn via a T-bar clasp and a series of exterior ringlets. Size (bracelet): 7.8" L x 1.2" W (19.8 cm x 3 cm); (largest glass): 1.2" L x 0.6" W (3 cm x 1.5 cm); sterling silver quality: 92.5% or higher; total weight: 41.7 grams

Constructed in modern times and wearable as shown. Glass fragments are ancient; sterling silver components are modern. Glass fragments have light weathering film, micro-bubbling within the matrices, and pitting in some small areas. Great iridescence across glass fragments.
