IMPERIAL PERIOD RUSSIAN SILVER CASE AND ICON. Comprising a fine Russian silver niello cigarette case, the hinged lid with oval cartouche nielloed with a winter troika scene and overall with scrolling foliage and centered with a round medallion with engraved monogram, interior gilded, hallmarked Moscow, 1899- 1908, Cyrillic maker’s mark GK, and with 84 silver standard, length 4 inches (10cm). Together with a silver pendant frame icon, the frame with engraved radiant liner holding an oval image of Saint Nicolas painted on mother of pearl, hallmarked Moscow C. 1900, Cyrillic maker’s mark DG, and 84 silver standard, length 2.75 inches (7cm).
