Collection of Generals from the Late 1700s to Early 1800s, Letters Signed including John Rogers US Naval Commander & Sigismund Löw Geman Legion. Fine collection of eight (8) autographed letters/letters signed by notable generals and commanders from the very late 1700s to the early 1800s.
John Rogers US Naval Commander during Quasi-War (1798-1800) aboard the USS Constellation and involved in capturing L'Insurgence and brought back to the US. Letter signed regarding a request by the Secretary of Navy for the quantity of lead Sigismund Löw, ranking General in the King's German Legion and served on Wellington's staff during the Peninsular Wars. Karl Philipp, Fürst zu Schwarzenberg ALS (oders) to Lt. Marshal Count Fanz Orisini-Rosenberg sometime mid 1806 regarding the structure of his various military units. Lengthy document, excellent condition. Francisco de Quiros Marino, VI Marquis de Campo Sagrado, was a Spanish soldier and politician, Minister of War from 1815 to 1817 and several times Captain General of Catalonia letter signed dated 1826. Claude-Anne de St. Simon, Spanish Field Office Saint-Simon was instrumental in winning the final great battle of the Revolutionary War. In late August 1781, he arrived at Jamestown, Virginia in command of some 3,500 French soldiers. They joined the much smaller American army under Lafayette and helped keep British general Cornwallis pinned at Yorktown. Letter is dated 1776 and in near pristine condition. Paul Dimitrievich Kisselff, Staff Officer of Alexander 1 and State Counsel of the Russian Empire letter signed, no date or translation. Count Franz Kinski, Austrian General and Commander of the Imperial Austrian Army manuscript letter signed April 1791 as Commander directing the movement of troops against the French Revolutionary Army. Superb condition. Ferdinand Carl Joseph second son of the Archduke Ferdinand and former General of thousands of troops. ALS written in 1817 as Governor-General which sets for the procedures to be followed in notifying the Austrian Court of judicial personnel in Hungary. Excellent condition. Estimated Value $400 - 800
