Very rare percussion pistol from the renowned gunsmith James Innes, Edinburgh, Scotland, 1793-1820, octagonal barrel, finely ornamentally engraved hammer partly in the shape of a baroque dolphin, engraved lock, curved trigger guard with engraved coat of arms, upper barrel engraved 'maker to his MAJESTY Edin', ramrod with ball puller made of brass, lock engraved 'INNES', total length ca. 38 cm, functions beautifully. Condition: Very Good. Provenance: From the collection of the Baron and Baroness of Loudoun. This lot includes a certificate of attestation with the wax seal of the Baron of Loudoun.
