The top border of the painting has loss to paint from frame rubbing against canvas. The bottom left of the painting is slightly bubbled but hardly noticeable unless the light catches. Examined with black light and there are no signs of previous tear to this area but there is some heavy painting. The warping of the canvas could be an effect from the heavy paint or from the glue on the back. There is evidence to suggest that the original canvas was cut down and then relined. The restorer put a very heavy layer of glue on the back of the relined canvas, causing some wrinkles. As a result of this glue, the canvas is quite stiff. The frame has minor areas of loss to the corners. Overall, this is a very lovely example.
