Description
Post War-1950s USAF Air Force 128th Fighter Group Basic Training Squadron Guidon Flag. The 128th Fighter Group was allotted to the Wisconsin Air National Guard, on 2 August 1946. It was organized at General Mitchell Field, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was extended federal recognition on 29 June 1948 by the National Guard Bureau. Ordered to active duty on 1 Feb 1951. Assigned to Air Defense Command. Redesignated 128th Fighter-Interceptor Group. Inactivated on 6 Feb 1952. Relieved from active duty, returned to ANG (Wis), and activated, on 1 Nov 1952. The 128th Fighter Group was bestowed the history, honors, and colors of the 362d. Approximate size is 19.5 x 30 inches. Excellent displayable condition.
