WWII Era Liddiard ARC Red Cross Photo Book / Album. Named to Walter Liddiard who was the Field Director of the American Red Cross during WWII. The album is dated 1939-1945. He mentioned in a news article that while he was stationed in the Gilbert Islands that he lived in fox holes from November until February 1943- 1944 while bombing was going on and there was nothing on the island except blasted palm trees and blown up installations of various sorts. Included in this albums are approximately 320 plus photos and a couple news articles. Most of the photos are identified. Nice photo album depicting home and army life.
