DESCRIPTION: Antique Spanish left hand dagger (Main Gauche) featuring a hemi-spherical silver plated basket hilt presenting ornate open-work foliate scroll designs, lined at the back by red velvet, a wire wrapped handle, dome pommel etched with further scroll designs in relief, a twisted crossguard, and double edged tapering blade. The sheath is composed of wood wrapped in black leather with a metal chape and mouthpiece etched with ornate scrollwork.
