first half 19th century
Comprising inlaid mahogany lap desk, a birds-eye maple and hardwood lap desk and an inlaid hardwood sewing box, all with variously fitted interiors.

Condition
General marks, nicks, scratches, cracks, rubbing and wear. Sewing box with some implements. Some possibly original, most probably assocaited. With wear to interior and tears and losses to fabric and some fittings. With one loose interior divide. Shrinkage crack across top. Lap desks with wear to writing slopes and to interior fittings. Some loose, some lacking.
