English, early 19th century. A Regency period burlwood sewing box, having a marquetry inlaid shield cartouche and key escutcheon with banded edging, on four gilt brass paw feet, opening to reveal purple silk lining and compartmental storage. Approximate height 5.125", width 10.625", depth 7.875".
