French Art Deco Carved Walnut Marble Top Commode, c. 1940, the rounded corner highly figured black marble over a band of three convex deep drawers, on ogee bracket feet, H.- 33 in., W.- 35 in., D.- 17 in.

Drawers are easy to use. No interior odor. There is damage to the rear proper left corner of the marble top. There is about ½ inch on either side of the marble top where it does not fully extend to the edge. The wooden band directly below the marble has multiple small areas of veneer loss and chips all the way around. There are similar losses of veneer at the bottom edge of the piece. The finish to the knobs has worn. Minor surface scratches and dings throughout. Wear is consistent with age and use.
