Blank Litzmannsatdt ghetto 'Legitimationskarte' or 'Legitimization card', 7 x 5 in., issued by the Litzmannstadt Ghetto Jewish Council of Elders with Chaim Rumkowski as their head. The card has a placeholder for a picture on the left side, with the right half allowing space for a name and number. The card states that the holder may walk through the Jewish residential area after hours and cannot be called upon to do additional work. Some light staining, else very good.
