Description

This is the 6th design out of a series done with similar motifs. This wonderful piece of faience depicts to young ladies contemplating taking a swim along the shore. The transfer of the girls dresses and head wear is a wonderful light green with cream trim and deep burgundy red with blue trim. The water has been tinted with a light green color and the boat is a soft brown. The back is titled, “Bains De mer Le repos” which when translated says “Rest of The Sea Baths”.Very neat plate! IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE.
