Fantastic African American 6pc Early Photography Archive- Prints, Tintypes, & CDVs

A group of six photographs consisting of 3 prints, 2 tintypes, and 1 carte de visite all depicting African Americans subjects, ca. mid-late 19th century. Please see below and accompanying images for further information on contents.

The lot includes:

1.) Carte de Visite of an unknown woman in high-necked collar dress, undated, Danville, VA. Expected degrees of foxing and darkened soiling throughout. Overall good example. 2.5" x 4".

2.) Tintypes, one featuring a seated man and the other a man in a long coat resting his hand on a podium. Nice rose-tinted detailing to one. Both exhibit areas of minor deterioration and surface cracking, otherwise very good. 1.75" x 3" and 2.5" x 3.5".

3.) Sepia-toned print depicting a family posed on front porch with the façade of their two story house in the background. Some residue present on image surface, possibly removable, with minor soiling and evidence of prior mounting on verso. Very good overall. 9" x 7".

4.) Pair of two matted circular portraits depicting individual gentlemen in three piece suits. Both exhibit hand drawn details to eyes and clothing. Varying degrees of foxing, surface cracking, and minor imperfections throughout. Overall good condition. 8" x 10" each.
