A deep indigo blue and white 19th century New York /Pa blanket circa 1850's and made of natural undyed wool and indigo blue wool and a loomed woven blanket. Good for its age. Like most home woven bedlinen 1800s blankets from this time period, it is done in two halves and joined together with a center seam. Overall threads are in sturdy and strong condition, not weak at all.

This unsigned blue and white coverlet is in very good original condition with no fading and some wear and one hole, as seen in photos, no seam separation in center seam, no insect damage, no color bleeding, cedar chest odors, no repairs. Very good for its age. Probably never having been washed. Some small staining storage spots areas as seen in photos.

This is a heavy Winter blanket. This blue and white blanket is heavy. This blanket has no fringes, never had any and hand-turned rolled edge at both ends. Probably never having been washed, it was most likely used on special occasions and spent most of its life carefully stored to be handed down to the next generation. The fiber is strong and still has great body.

Standard double bed is 54" wide x 78" long. Queen bed is 60" wide x 80" long. King bed is 78" wide x 82" long.
