The item up for bid consists of a FEW STRANDS of Authentic Elvis Presley hair along with a piece of the actual towel Presley wore during his hair cuts. The strands of Presley hair offered in this auction have been displayed over a scan of the original lock, making it a substantial display which is professionally custom framed. Framing options are: Gold Leaf, Silver Leaf, or, Silver and Black Laminate. Please let us know which frame you would like at checkout. Otherwise, we will assume the Gold Leaf Frame. Framed Dimensions approximately 23 ¼" x 20 ¼" and matted with a photo of Presley along with an excellent Facsimile signature in blue ink and a presentation plate inscribed with the following, "ELVIS PRESLEY, "The King of Rock n' Roll" 1935-1977. Known the world over by his first name, Elvis Presley is regarded as one of the most important figures of the twentieth century. AUTHENTIC STRANDS OF ELVIS PRESLEY'S HAIR, TOGETHER WITH A PIECE OF THE ACTUAL TOWEL PRESLEY WORE DURING HIS HAIRCUTS"

This lock comes from the collection of Presley's Hair Stylist, Homer M. Gilleland. The lock was cut by Gilleland while Presley was on tour in May of 1976 at The Sahara Tahoe Hotel and Casino located at Stateline, Nevada. This item was later purchased by Rockin' Robin Rosaaen from Gilleland at a fundraiser in August of 1978. Full documentation will be included with the purchase. This item also comes with a letter from Robin Rosaaen, the Author and Founder of "All The King's Things."
