8x10 B&W glossy finish vintage photograph signed in blue ballpoint ink by Thomas H. Weller. Some light edge wear, otherwise, in very good condition. (1915-2008) Thomas Huckle Weller was an American virologist. He, John Franklin Enders, and Frederick Chapman Robbins were awarded a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1954 for showing how to cultivate poliomyelitis viruses in a test tube, using a combination of human embryonic skin and muscle tissue.This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
