Antique Spanish Colonial Retablo Showing a Priest with Putto Standing over a Tomb of Christ

This small detailed painting features a priest dressed in black holding a book and what might be a candle, a pen or a flute. He stands outside among clouds and a blue sky serves as the general backdrop. On his left side is a small cherub draped in a green texile who holds a large book wide open. The priest seems to be gazing down at the tomb of Christ whose body is visible on his burial shroud. Below are are two monks attending the body in a grey room; one sits in a decorative chair while the other stands, reading from a book, as a devilish creature sneaks in from the bottom right-hand corner. This piece looks like it might have been a stand-alone scene, possibly the priest at the top was the patron for the piece.
