Vintage Art Nouveau style porcelain plate "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" fairy tale by Alexander Pushkin, artwork by Vladimir Vlesko [signed in plate]; Limited edition porcelain plate by the Vinogradoff Porcelain Factory, Soviet Union. Stated Third Series of the Fairy Tales collector plates.

The plate is c.7.3/4" [19.7cm] across, there are two holes in the rim on the backside for the hanging; fine condition.

This plate is the only official issue of the artwork "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel" specially designed for this series by the artist Vladimir Vlesko, the master-painter of the artists' village Pallekh, specialized on the black lacquer painting. The motif is based on the fairy tale by Pushkin. The edition of this plates limited to 195 days of firing; Up to seventeen layers of pigments and original 18kt gold was used to create the pictures. It is the first such edition of the ornamental Palekh style plates created by Vinogradoff Porcelain Factory, Soviet Union. Third Series. The motif mark is "Bradex 60-V25-1.3" copyright 1989. Hand written number '296/ 3'.
