[II-]NOTEThis first type of Model 1777 was produced at the armoury at Maubeuge and was first introduced in 1779 to replacing the Model 1763/1766. The pistol came with a belt hook, which was retained by a mounting screw under the bronze frame. Between 1779 and 1787, Maubeuge produced 7,500 pairs. These early first type of Model 1777 were also produced in Saint-Etienne (production: 14,454 pairs) and in Charleville (production: 15,342 pairs).
