Description
1932 Pattern Meat Can (mess kit), marked "EA Co. 1944" (Eastern Aluminum Co.). Side seam aluminum canteen with bakelite cap, and M1910 canteen cup are both marked "U.S. AGM Co. 1945" (Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co.). Canteen cover has no legible markings other than "US". Utensils are all stainless, corresponding to August 1944 specifications. Knife has the 1942 pattern black resin handle, and is marked "SILCO" (International Silver Co. 1945). Spoon has the diamond logo of the Diamond Silverware Co. (Post 1942), and the fork is marked "Wallco Stainless" (Wallace & Sons Co.). M-1938 O.D. Gaiters/Leggings, dated 9-17-41, from the Gregory & Read Co. Unopened Carlisle bandage with Sulfa powder from Bauer & Black, Chicago . In an O.D. canvas belt pouch, without legible markings.
